Precision mechanical parts processing

Generally, it is for the processing and production of precision mechanical equipment parts, which requires very high precision. Therefore, in addition to understanding the specific requirements of precision mechanical parts processing for materials and the common techniques of precision mechanical parts processing, we should also understand the steps of precision mechanical parts processing. Here are the five stages of precision mechanical parts processing.

1. Roughing

The main consideration is to increase productivity. Most of the machining allowance of each machining surface is cut off, and the precision reference is machined.

2. Semi-finishing

It is mainly to cut off the defects that may be generated after rough machining, and at the same time to complete the processing of the secondary surface. A certain machining accuracy must be achieved in order to prepare for the finishing stage and ensure proper finishing allowance.

3. Finishing

In the finishing stage, large cutting speed, small feed rate and cutting depth are mainly used to cut the machining allowance left by semi-finishing, so that the surface of precision mechanical parts can meet the technical requirements of drawings.

4. Finishing

It is mainly used to reduce the surface roughness or strengthen the processing surface, and is mainly used for surface processing with high surface roughness requirements.

5. Ultra-precision machining

Mainly by precision cutting, fine mirror grinding, precision grinding and polishing and other processing methods to make the workpiece machining accuracy of 0.1-0.01 μm, surface roughness value RA≤ 0.001μm.
